El estudio informe «El reto de la transformación digital en España», realizado por Siemens y Roland Berger y publicado el pasado año, desvela el actual calado de la penetración digital en el ámbito empresarial nacional y lo contextualiza respecto a la situación más allá de sus fronteras.
Los resultados, en la práctica totalidad de los sectores, no resultan nada halagüeños.
Posición de partida
Los efectos de la transformación digital en las empresas españolas se presentan,a día de hoy, con un sustancial margen de mejora en la mayor parte de los aspectos que conforman dicho proceso.
Aunque todas ellas tienen acceso a Internet y tres cuartas partes su propia página web, solo una minoría utiliza procesos digitales avanzados para su gestión (disponibilidad de ERP o CRM) y se relaciona de forma transaccional online (compra y venta a través de la red).
Por sectores, y aunque todos coinciden en la percepción de las inmensas oportunidades de negocio que acarrearía la transformación digital, solamente las Telecomunicaciones, el Turismo y los Servicios Financieros presentan una apuesta decidida a afrontar esta ineludible transición.
Transformación digital española en el contexto internacional
En el ranking internacional, diversos indicadores económicos y tecnológicos en el ámbito empresarial sitúan a España en un discreto nivel:
- Posición 45 en el Business Index del Foro Económico Mundial.
- Lugar 15 en el Indicador de la Economía y la Sociedad Digital de la Comisión Europea.
A nivel individual, la utilización de Internet para búsquedas y transacciones comerciales están muy por debajo de la media e incluso cerca de cerrar la clasificación. Las competencias digitales básicas entre los españoles (solamente las poseen un 54%) son también un claro indicio de debilidad.
Entre las fortalezas, la integración de tecnologías en la empresa y el uso del móvil.
Formación y transformación
Esta indecidida apuesta por la transformación digital es particularmente visible en la formación digital de los empleados:
- En un 20% de las empresas no se realiza ninguna formación digital.
- En un 62% de las empresas que lo han ofrecido, menos del 40% de sus empleados han recibido un curso.
- En el resto, la formación digital se limita fundamentalmente a la gestión de herramientas (de negocio, transversales o de colaboración) basado en dos tercios de las respuestas del estudio.
- Las competencias avanzadas como la cultura digital (13%), la optimización de búsquedas en red (11%) o la innovación abierta (también 11%) son minoritarias.
