Una nueva lección de la cuarentena y que, más pronto que tarde, toda organización debe aprender, considerar y atender.
Las empresas, en modo teletrabajo
Aunque el número de empleados españoles que teletrabajaban el año pasado apenas alcanzaba el 3%, el obligado confinamiento por el COVID ha puesto en marcha planes de cont¡ngencia específicos para articular el trabajo en remoto, las vicdeoreuniones o videoconferencias anticipando un futuro en el que el teletrabajo se convertirá, si lugar a dudas, en la piedra angular de funcionamiento de determinados sectores.
Sin embargo, el desarrollo de los protocolos anexos a este nuevo sistema de trabajo a distancia (aspectos operativos, elementos tecnológicos y de seguridad) junto con los planes de formación para empresas necesarios en su ejecución se han demostrado insuficientes frente a algunos de los problemas adicionales que su implementación ha desatado.
Incremento de la ciberdelincuencia
La conmoción creada por su irrupción en la rutina de la población de las medidas sanitarias de distanciamiento social. El incremento de las soluciones tecnológicas para interactuar en remoto ha creado una ventana de oportunidad por la que se han colado viejos y nuevos riesgos en ciberseguridad. Las medidas de protección, previamente dispuestas y diseñadas para un crecimiento progresivo, se han visto casi desbordadas por estos ataques.
Junto con los intentos fraudulentos de obtención de datos o de suplantación de identidad y el aumento del correo basura, la proliferación del teletrabajo desencadenó una oleada de ciberataques sobre los protocolos de Microsoft para acceder al control remoto de las ordenadores de trabajo. Aprovechando las dificultades para parchear los terminales conectados remotamente, los ciberataques pasaron de algunos centenares de miles por día a rozar el millón y superarlo en países como España y Estados Unidos.
Existe, además, un alto riesgo de manipulación inadecuada de datos de la empresa por parte del empleado por el uso, voluntario o no, de aplicaciones no aprobadas en el protocolo de la organización
Necesidad de formación para empresas en ciberseguridad
Mientras que el personal se adapta al cambio que implica trabajar desde casa, las organizaciones deben asegurarse de que sus empleados puedan trabajar con la misma normalidad que si estuvieran en su dependencia habitua. Según un reciente informe, de Kapersky, tres de cada cuatro teletrabajadores españoles aún no han recibido ninguna orientación o formación para empresas específica sobre ciberseguridad. Puesto que las amenazas siguen existiendo y continuan incrementándose, es importante que las organizaciones formen a su personal en rutinas de trabajo que no favorezcan el éxito de ciberataques.
